Kickoff to Summer
Thanks to the generous support of the Cultural Bridge Fund at the Women and Public Policy Program at Harvard Kennedy School, I will spend my summer in Nairobi, Kenya with ZanaAfrica, an organization working to advance gender equity through menstrual health, reproductive rights, and life skills education.
I will focus on developing ZanaAfrica’s long-term strategy to reach 100 million girls and youth in the next ten years by analyzing the social, cultural, and system-level barriers that shape girls’ access to education, health information, and bodily autonomy. Through engagement with government ministries, school leaders, and health providers, I will work to identify opportunities to strengthen coordination, expand menstrual health access, and support more gender-equitable norms and policies.
I am deeply grateful to the WAPPP internship supporters for making this opportunity possible and am very excited for what this summer will bring!
